Juneteenth represents the day that enslaved African Americans under Confederate rule officially found out that they were freed due to the Emancipation Proclamation. On June 19, 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce that executive orders require all slaves to be freed. As a black-owned and operated brand, Glow by Daye wants to recognize and celebrate this holiday.
